100 Mahaseth
100 Maha Set Road, Si Phraya, Bang Rak, Bangkok 10500
Tue-Sun 11:30-22:30, Mon closed

100 Mahaseth is an Isan restaurant at 100 Maha Set Road in Si Phraya, Bang Rak, where chef Chalee Kader cooks nose-to-tail north-eastern Thai food from locally sourced meat; it is listed in the MICHELIN Guide. The room is a cosy old house with warm lighting, rattan lamps, flagstone floors and pop art on the walls. Regulars order the roasted bone marrow, grilled beef tongue, som tam and khanom jeen with pork jowl, a hot and sour soup with baby pork ribs is a staple, and aged Thai beef specials appear on a blackboard. Time Out gave it five stars, though some diners find it pricey and the service uneven. It opens Tuesday to Sunday from 11:30 to 22:30 and is closed on Mondays; booking is recommended.

Diners love the creative Isan cooking, above all the roasted bone marrow and the grilled beef tongue.
Some find it pricey for the portions and the service uneven, and offal runs through much of the menu.
