Baan Pee Lek is a family restaurant in an old teak Thai house on a quiet side street in Prawet, filled with vintage wooden furniture, a grand piano and family photos, and it holds a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand for 2024, 2025 and 2026. The owners come from Chiang Mai and Bangkok, and the menu mixes northern and central Thai home cooking, including dishes rarely seen elsewhere, such as a riverside vegetable curry and fried minced pork with salted mackerel. Pork rib massaman, jungle curry and stir-fried spare ribs with herbs are other favourites. Prices are moderate. On weekdays it opens 11:00 to 14:00 and 16:30 to 22:30, and all day from 11:00 on weekends; it is best reached by taxi.
