Beer Hima is a big, no-frills seafood restaurant on Thetsaban Songkhro Road in the Prachachuen area of Chatuchak, with a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand every year since 2019. Despite the beer-hall name, the draw is the family's seafood recipes from Nakhon Si Thammarat in southern Thailand. Every table orders the sour yellow curry with grouper, loaded with turmeric and chilli; other favourites are small fish fried with turmeric and garlic, prawns with sataw beans in shrimp paste, sweet and salty moo ko pork belly and big clams in chilli paste, washed down with the icy slush beer that has been the house signature since 1994. Food comes out fast. It opens daily from 11:00 to 23:00 and is best reached by taxi.

Regulars praise the fiery Nakhon Si Thammarat yellow curry, the crispy turmeric fried fish, fast service and ice-cold slush beer.
The southern dishes are very spicy, seafood prices add up, and it is a taxi ride from the nearest station.
