Benjakitti Park is a public park on former Tobacco Monopoly land beside the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre, run by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration; the original lakeside park has operated since 1992, and a 652-million-baht expansion, Benjakitti Forest Park, fully opened in 2022 and took the site to 72 hectares. The draw is the forest park: wetlands and ponds laid out on sponge-city principles, elevated boardwalks and a 1.6 km skywalk through the tree canopy, with the Bangkok skyline mirrored in the water at sunrise and sunset. There are also a 3.4 km cycling route, a 2.8 km running route, kayak and pedal-boat hire on the lake, and the 1.3 km Green Bridge walkway leads to Lumphini Park. The park lies on Ratchadaphisek Road in Khlong Toei; MRT Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre, exit 3, opens at the park edge, and BTS Asok is a 10 to 15 minute walk. It opens daily from 05:00 to 21:00 and entry is free.
Rating from public reviews
Each part combines public reviews from several sites (20,000 reviews). Not our own visit.
Reviewers praise the clean, spacious grounds, the canopy boardwalk through different forest zones, and the calm mood at sunrise and sunset.
Complaints are rare, but the open walkways offer little relief at midday, so it is best visited early or late in the day.
