Central Bangrak is a mid-sized department store mall on Charoen Krung Road that traded for more than three decades as Robinson Bangrak before its owner renovated and rebranded it as Central in 2024. It is a practical neighbourhood mall rather than a destination: most visitors come for the basement Tops supermarket, the food court and casual chain restaurants, or simply to cool off. Upper floors cover cosmetics, fashion, kids' clothes and toys, homeware and electronics. It sits about two minutes on foot from BTS Saphan Taksin, which makes it handy for anyone staying in the Charoen Krung or Silom area. Open daily 10:30 to 21:30, with no entry fee and mid-range prices.
Rating from public reviews
Each part combines public reviews from several sites (10,504 reviews). Not our own visit.
Visitors like it as an easy, air-conditioned stop next to the Skytrain with a well-stocked supermarket, plenty of food options and a tidy layout after the makeover.
It is a small, practical mall with a limited range compared to the big malls uptown, so shoppers hunting specific brands or sizes often leave empty-handed.
