Central Chidlom is the flagship department store of Thailand's Central Group, first opened on Ploenchit Road in 1973. A 4 billion baht renovation completed in December 2024 gave it a glass facade, a Luxe Galerie with shop-in-shops from major fashion houses, a Beauty Galerie of more than 150 brands and a Sky Terrace linked to the skytrain. Seven floors cover fashion, cosmetics, shoes, electronics and books, with a Tops food hall and a popular top-floor food court. Reviewers describe it as calm and uncrowded compared with the big malls nearby, with high-end prices to match, and enjoy its seasonal flower displays. It stands at 1027 Ploenchit Road in Pathum Wan, a two-minute walk by elevated walkway from BTS Chit Lom, and opens daily from 10:00 to 22:00. Entry is free.
