Central Embassy
1031 Phloen Chit Road, Lumphini, Pathum Wan, Bangkok 10330
Daily 10:00-22:00

Central Embassy is a luxury shopping mall on Phloen Chit Road in Pathum Wan, built by Central Group on the former gardens of the British Embassy and opened on 9 May 2014, with the Park Hyatt Bangkok hotel added above it in 2017. Designed by Amanda Levete Architects and shaped like an infinity symbol from above, it houses high-end fashion houses including Chanel, Gucci, Hermes and Louis Vuitton, the Embassy Diplomat Screens cinema, and two anchors that draw non-shoppers: Eathai, a food hall of about 5,000 square metres on the lower ground floor serving dishes from Thailand's four regions plus street-food stalls, and Open House on level 6, a co-living space designed by Klein Dytham Architecture with an eating deck, the Open House bookshop by Hardcover, a playground and city views. BTS Phloen Chit connects directly to the Embassy Park building, and BTS Chit Lom links via Central Chidlom. Open daily 10:00-22:00; entry is free, and Eathai adds a 5 per cent service charge.
Rating from public reviews
Each part combines public reviews from several sites (25,000 reviews). Not our own visit.
Shoppers enjoy the calm, spacious, high-end feel, the Eathai food hall and the standout bookshop and cinema on the top floor.
Some visitors find it quiet and less lively than other malls, and it is aimed at luxury budgets.
