Chokdee Dimsum - Banthat Thong
Suan Luang Square, Chula Soi 12 off Banthat Thong Road, Wang Mai, Pathum Wan, Bangkok 10330
Open 24 hours daily

Chokdee Dimsum's Banthat Thong branch is the original shop of this Thai dim sum chain, opened in 2000 at Suan Luang Square, just off Banthat Thong Road. It stays open 24 hours, which makes it a go-to for late-night meals in this busy street-food district. Dim sum is picked from a display cabinet and steamed fresh, with favourites such as shrimp shumai, har gow, fried taro dumplings, rice noodle rolls and lava custard buns, plus the house bak kut teh, served steaming hot with fresh greens. Most baskets cost about 50-60 baht, so a meal usually runs roughly 100-300 baht a head, and in 2025 an all-you-can-eat dim sum buffet was offered for 399 baht. There is parking at Suan Luang Square, and BTS National Stadium is about a 10-minute walk.
Rating from public reviews
Each part combines public reviews from several sites (126 reviews). Not our own visit.
Regulars love getting freshly steamed dim sum and hot bak kut teh at any hour at easy prices, and the lava custard buns are the clear favourite.
Scores are only middling overall, and the round-the-clock hours have at times been cut back in the small hours, so check before a very late visit.
