Chokdee Dimsum - Tha Phra
Thonburi Plaza Building (No. 4), Ratchadaphisek Road, opposite The Mall Tha Phra, Talat Phlu, Thon Buri, Bangkok 10600
Open 24 hours, daily

This branch of Chokdee Dimsum, a Thai dim sum chain with many outlets around Bangkok, has run since 2003 from a one-unit shop on the ground floor of the Thonburi Plaza building on Ratchadaphisek Road, opposite The Mall Tha Phra. It never closes, and the lights stay on all night, which makes it a go-to for late suppers. The menu covers steamed baskets such as shrimp shumai, har gow and crab shumai, plus shrimp rice noodle rolls, lava custard buns, bak kut teh and simple Chinese one-plate dishes, and most diners spend about 100 to 250 baht. Reviews are mixed: the shrimp items and rice rolls get the most praise, while service slows down when the room is full and some feel prices have crept up. There is parking, and the food can also be delivered.
