El Toro Steakhouse
541 Sukhumvit Road (near Sukhumvit Soi 29), Khlong Toei Nuea, Watthana, Bangkok 10110
Daily 11:00-23:30 (Fri-Sat until 00:00)

El Toro is a steakhouse and butchery on Sukhumvit Road near Soi 29, open since 2015. At the entrance a chilled counter displays aged cuts from Australia, New Zealand, the US, Argentina and Thailand, and diners can choose their steak there before it is grilled. Beyond the a la carte steaks, house dry-aged beef and lamb, the big draw is a Brazilian churrasco rodizio, with meats carved at the table plus a salad and dessert bar. Reviewers most often recommend the beef tenderloin, rib eye and picanha. The room is rustic and warm, with private spaces for groups. It opens daily from 11:00 to 23:30, until midnight on Friday and Saturday. BTS Phrom Phong and Asok are each about a 10 minute walk. Prices are mid to upper range.

Meat lovers praise well-grilled steaks such as tenderloin and picanha, a generous churrasco with free-flow salad and desserts, and warm staff.
It is on the pricey side, and a few diners noted small misses such as items left off the churrasco spread.
