Envies Cafe
922 Charoen Krung Road, at the corner of Charoen Krung Soi 31, Talat Noi, Samphanthawong, Bangkok

Envies Cafe is a one-room shophouse cafe on Charoen Krung Road at the corner of Soi 31, in the Talat Noi riverside quarter of Samphanthawong. It is decorated like a retro living room, with a brown leather sofa, contemporary art and photo corners inside and out, and dogs are welcome. The house blend is a full-bodied roast used across the espresso menu, and the cafe leans into creative coffee and soda mixes, such as an orange soda topped with an espresso shot and a cherry espresso soda, alongside lattes, chocolate drinks and bagels. Most drinks cost under 100 baht, and an Americano with a bagel comes to about 250 baht. Seating is limited to a few tables, so on busy weekends it suits a takeaway stop while exploring Talat Noi and the nearby warehouse creative spaces.
Rating from public reviews
Each part combines public reviews from several sites (23 reviews). Not our own visit.
Visitors love the cosy living-room feel, the friendly staff and the strong, well-pulled coffee at gentle prices.
Space is very tight with only a few seats, and some find the non-coffee drinks such as matcha only average.
