The First Presbyterian Church, Samray is the oldest Protestant church in Bangkok. American Presbyterian missionaries founded the congregation in 1849 and moved to this plot on the Thonburi bank of the Chao Phraya in 1857; the first church was consecrated in 1862, and the present building, rebuilt in the original style, dates from 1910, with a bell tower added in 1912. The single-storey masonry hall faces the river, with flower-patterned stucco on its gable and a portico behind three arches. It won the ASA Architectural Conservation Award in 2004 and was registered as a historical site by the Fine Arts Department in 2024. It stands at the end of Soi Charoen Nakhon 59 in Samre, near Krung Thep Bridge. Visitors are welcome at the Sunday service from 10:00; entry is free.
