Guay Jub Ouan Pochana is a night-time pavement stall on Yaowarat Road, set up in front of the old China Town Rama cinema, that has served kuay jap for more than 50 years. The dish is a clear, strongly peppery broth with soft rolled rice-flour noodles, slices of crisp pork belly, pork offal and spring onion; a boiled egg or a stick of fried dough (patongo) can be added for about 10 baht. The stall has been awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand for many years running and has appeared in the guide since 2018, yet prices stay low, and seating is at pavement tables under the neon of Chinatown. It is a short walk from MRT Wat Mangkon and about 10 minutes from MRT Hua Lamphong. It only opens at night, daily from 18:00 to 03:00. A bowl costs about 50 to 60 baht small and 100 baht large; bring cash.

Fans like the peppery, clear broth with rolled noodles and crispy pork belly at a low price late into the night.
Some regulars feel the quality has slipped over the years, and the pavement setting is crowded and hot.
