Havana Social

Havana Social is a 1940s-style Cuban bar hidden up Sukhumvit Soi 11, run by Soho Hospitality. There is no sign: guests enter through a mock phone booth, dial a code and step through a false back wall into a weathered room of distressed walls and vintage couches, with cigars and Latin music completing the pre-revolution illusion. The drinks list moves through pre- and post-revolution Cuba with daiquiris front and centre, plus Cuba Libres, mojitos and a compact tiki selection, with empanadas and sandwiches as snacks; resident DJs start at 22:00 nightly, Wednesday is ladies' night and Sunday brings a salsa class from 21:00. The bar is at 41/3 Sukhumvit Road in Khlong Toei Nuea, Watthana, roughly 1 km north of BTS Nana along Soi 11, with free validated parking at Fraser Suites. Open daily 18:00-02:00 with happy hour 18:00-20:00; dress is smart casual, meaning covered shoes and no sleeveless tops for men, no sportswear and no large bags. Cocktails average about US$11 and tables can be reserved online.
