Hua Takhe Old Market
Soi Lat Krabang 17, Lat Krabang, Bangkok 10520
Daily 06:00-17:00 (individual shops keep their own hours)

Hua Takhe Old Market is a canalside community in Lat Krabang, on Bangkok's eastern edge, where old two-storey wooden shophouses line the water. The market is around a century old, and today its timber fronts hold small cafes, noodle and made-to-order food shops, retro toy stores and art and craft workshops, with graffiti murals and plenty of photo corners. It is calm rather than crowded, best for a slow afternoon, and each July the Rakdok Floral Weeks event fills the lanes with flower installations. The market sits at the end of Soi Lat Krabang 17; take the Airport Rail Link to Lat Krabang station and then a red songthaew, or come by car. Shops keep roughly 06:00 to 17:00 daily, and entry is free.
Rating from public reviews
Each part combines public reviews from several sites (1,832 reviews). Not our own visit.
Visitors love the slow canalside atmosphere, the old wooden shophouses full of cafes, cheap local food and art workshops, and the lack of crowds.
It is small and far from central Bangkok, and on weekdays many shops stay shut, so it can feel very quiet.
