Jok Prince is a congee shop on Charoen Krung Road in Bang Rak, opposite Robinson Bang Rak, run by the third generation of a family that has cooked rice porridge here for more than 70 years. Its jok is Cantonese in style, a thick porridge with a distinctive smoky aroma, served with pork meatballs, intestines, stomach, kidney, and a soft-boiled or century egg; regulars order number 10, the bowl with everything, and dip patongo doughnuts from the stall outside. The shop holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand and appears in Time Out Bangkok's 2024 list; Tripadvisor reviews run to October 2025. It is about 5 minutes on foot from BTS Saphan Taksin, Exit 3. Time Out lists hours of 06:00 to 13:00 and 15:00 to 23:00 daily, while Tripadvisor shows shorter morning and evening sessions, so early morning is the safe bet; Time Out advises arriving before 08:00 for the full choice of add-ons. A bowl starts at about 40 baht.
