KwanRean Kitchen
672/5 Soi Charoen Krung 28, Si Phraya, Bang Rak, Bangkok 10500
Mon-Sat 12:00-22:00; closed Sunday

KwanRean Kitchen is a small, family-run Thai restaurant on Soi Charoen Krung 28 in the Si Phraya area of Bang Rak, close to the river, Talat Noi and Chinatown. The menu covers the classics: tom yum kung, pad thai, green curry, stir-fries, satay and spring rolls, with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, fruit smoothies, beer and wine, and the kitchen adjusts the spice level on request. Reviewers praise the fresh ingredients, friendly English-speaking staff and fair prices, with starters around 120 to 150 baht. The room is cosy with a few outdoor seats, so it fills up quickly at dinner. The Si Phraya express boat pier is a short walk away. It opens Monday to Saturday from 12:00 until about 22:00 and is closed on Sunday.
