Le Cabanon
44 Soi Narathiwat Ratchanakharin 15, Thung Maha Mek, Sathon, Bangkok 10120
Dinner daily from 17:30 (to 23:00, Sun to 22:00); lunch Fri-Sun 11:30-15:00

Le Cabanon is a French and Mediterranean seafood restaurant in a converted old house on Soi Narathiwat 15 in Sathon, led by owner-chef Martine Pailloux. Most of its seafood is flown in from France, and live lobsters and crabs wait in tanks at the front; lobster is the signature, alongside oysters, seafood platters, Dover sole meuniere, lobster soup and meat dishes such as duck and wagyu. Guests sit in a glass-fronted dining room with white linen or in a lantern-lit garden courtyard. It is a special-occasion price level: fish mains run around 1,000 baht and up, and the set lunch is the cheaper way in. BTS Chong Nonsi is about 1 km away. Dinner is served nightly from about 17:30, with lunch Friday to Sunday from 11:30 to 15:00.
Rating from public reviews
Each part combines public reviews from several sites (122 reviews). Not our own visit.
Diners rave about the very fresh imported seafood, especially the lobster and Dover sole, served in a warm, elegant garden-house setting with attentive staff.
Prices are steep for the portions, and a few visitors felt dishes were too plain or served lukewarm on busy nights.
