Lhao Lhao
1271/5-7 Phahonyothin Road, Phaya Thai, Bangkok 10400
Daily 15:00-03:00

Lhao Lhao is a Thai-Chinese rice soup and seafood restaurant on Phahonyothin Road between Ari and Saphan Khwai, open since 1980 and run across generations. It is a classic late-night khao tom spot: diners order plain rice soup and share plates from a famously long menu sorted by ingredient and style, from Teochew braised duck and boiled chicken with fish sauce to grilled river prawns, spicy salads with pickled crab roe and thick tom yum with omelette. The room is a plain, busy old-school diner popular with local families and late-night diners. It opens daily from mid-afternoon until 03:00, and delivery runs through GrabFood, LINE MAN and Robinhood. BTS Ari is a short walk away.

Night owls love the huge Thai-Chinese menu, the comforting rice soup with shared plates and being able to eat well until 3am.
The room is a plain old-school diner, and some feel the seafood quality does not always match the prices.
