The Metro Forest Learning Center, known in Thai as Pa Nai Krung, is a 12-rai man-made forest run by PTT on Sukhaphiban 2 Road in Prawet, built on what used to be a dumping ground. It was planted with the Miyawaki method, packing native trees densely so they grow fast, and now holds more than 200 plant species. Visitors follow shaded nature trails, a 200-metre skywalk at canopy level and a 23-metre observation tower with 360-degree views, and there is an earth-walled exhibition building with a short film. Entry is free. Recent listings give Tuesday to Sunday, 09:00-18:00, and groups should book ahead. There is no rail station nearby, so most people come by taxi or car and park on the roadside.
