Mont Nom Sod is a milk-and-toast shop on Dinso Road, opposite Bangkok City Hall near the Giant Swing. Founder Khun Mont began with a pushcart in 1964 before opening this shop, which remains the original of a small chain with branches elsewhere in Bangkok and in Chiang Mai. People come for thick slices of toasted or steamed bread spread with sangkhaya custard, butter and condensed milk, corn-soup custard, pandan custard or chocolate, washed down with cold fresh milk, butterfly-pea milk or Thai tea; Wongnai reviewers in 2026 still describe queues that move quickly. It is about a 10-minute walk from MRT Sam Yot, Exit 3, and around 800 m from On Lok Yun. Wongnai lists daily hours of 13:00 to 22:00, with delivery until 21:30. Toast costs about 30 to 35 baht a slice, a steamed-bread set 80 baht and drinks around 55 baht, so a visit stays well under 200 baht. The shop is air-conditioned, seats up to 40 and takes cash or QR payment.
