Nai Ek Roll Noodle is a Thai-Chinese noodle shop on Yaowarat Road at the mouth of Soi 9, opposite the Hotel Royal Bangkok in Chinatown. It began as a food cart in the 1960s and moved into its permanent shophouse in 1989. The draw is kuay jab nam sai, rolled rice-noodle sheets in a clear broth heavy with white pepper, topped with crispy pork belly, sliced pork, offal and a boiled egg; crispy pork over rice, stewed pork ribs, braised pork knuckle and pork blood soup are the other regulars. The shop received the Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2018 and 2019 and Wongnai ranks it among the top noodle shops in Bangkok, with reviews as recent as March 2026. It is about 200 m from MRT Wat Mangkon and 800 m from MRT Hua Lamphong. Hours run roughly from 08:00 to midnight daily; sources differ by half an hour at each end. Bowls cost about 80 to 120 baht and the shop takes cash only. Queues move quickly.

People rave about the peppery clear broth, the rolled noodles and the crunchy pork, all at a low price.
There is nearly always a queue, and the strong pepper heat is not for everyone.
