Or Tor Kor Market
101 Yan Phahon Yothin Road (Kamphaeng Phet Road), opposite Chatuchak Weekend Market, Chatuchak District, Bangkok 10900
Daily 06:00-18:00

Or Tor Kor Market is a large fresh market opened in 1974 and run by the Marketing Organization for Farmers, a state enterprise under the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, at 101 Yan Phahon Yothin (Kamphaeng Phet) Road opposite Chatuchak Weekend Market. CNN listed it among the world's 10 best fresh markets in 2017. Its single covered hall sells premium fruit, above all durian and mango, along with vegetables, dried goods, curry pastes, imported items, meat and seafood, plus ready-to-eat roti, rice dishes, soups, moo ping and mango sticky rice; prices and hygiene standards are above those of a typical wet market, and vendors let customers taste dried fruit before buying. MRT Kamphaeng Phet Exit 3 opens beside the market, BTS Saphan Khwai is also within reach, and buses 8, 63, 77 and 134 pass. Open daily 06:00-18:00 with free entry; mornings are best, as stock and energy fade by afternoon. A shooting on 28 July 2025 killed five people and the gunman; the market continues to trade.
Rating from public reviews
Each part combines public reviews from several sites (25,000 reviews). Not our own visit.
Reviewers rave about how clean, well organised and fresh everything is, with top quality fruit, seafood and a good food court.
Prices run noticeably higher than at ordinary Bangkok fresh markets, and it is more polished and touristy than a typical local market.
