Plu
3 Soi Phra Phinit, Suan Phlu Road, Thung Maha Mek, Sathon, Bangkok 10120
Daily 11:00-14:00, 17:00-21:30

Plu is a mid-priced Thai restaurant in a restored colonial house on Soi Phra Phinit, off Suan Phlu Road in Sathorn, with Art Deco details, black and white tiled floors and wooden tables. It holds a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand, run by the group behind The Water Library, with chef Elliot Moss cooking dishes from all over Thailand. The signature is braised pork belly with soft-boiled eggs and tofu in a five-spice broth; regulars also order the Burmese-style tea leaf salad and crispy roasted pork belly, and many start with one of the house cocktails. It opens daily for lunch, 11:00 to 14:00, and dinner, 17:00 to 21:30. Booking is advised for weekend evenings. BTS Chong Nonsi and Surasak are the nearest stations.
Rating from public reviews
Each part combines public reviews from several sites (1,273 reviews). Not our own visit.
Diners love the five-spice braised pork belly, the graceful Art Deco house and the warm, polished service.
It is pricier than a casual Thai kitchen, and dinner tables go fast, so book ahead at weekends.
