Roots at Sathon

Roots is a Bangkok specialty roaster founded in 2013 by Varatt 'Tae' Vichit-Vadakan, the 2014 Thailand Barista Champion; the company also supplies the Roast eateries and runs a Cup to Farm programme that returns part of its revenue to the growers it buys from. The Sathon branch, opened in 2018 as a full cafe and showcase bar, serves espresso, filter and iced coffees from its own roasts, and it is known among the office crowd for quick, consistent cups from early morning; the space is calm and reading-friendly. It occupies unit A.1.2 on the 1st floor of Bhiraj Tower at Sathon on South Sathon Road, in Sathon district, and the tower is connected to BTS Surasak on the Silom Line, with Saint Louis and Chong Nonsi stations also close. Hours are 07:00-17:00 daily according to a listing verified in May 2026, though the brand's shop page still shows 08:00-19:30; drinks are priced in the low hundreds of baht, and beans, equipment and classes are sold alongside.
