Rung Rueang is a pork noodle shop on Sukhumvit Soi 26 that occupies two adjacent shophouses, once a single family operation before an old falling-out split things down the middle. Orders arrive fast: hand-minced pork, tender pork slices, springy fish balls and cleanly boiled offal, with a choice of noodle and broth. The clear, peppery pork-bone soup is the standard, but the tom yum version, sharpened with lime, fish sauce, sugar and roasted chilli, is what built its reputation; many order it dry with fragrant garlic oil and a side of crispy fried fish skin. The shop holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand and diners report it has been listed consistently since 2018. It is about 5 minutes on foot from BTS Phrom Phong, exit 4, in the Sukhumvit area. Open daily 08:00 to 17:00. Bowls cost about 60 to 80 baht, less than a large coffee at many Bangkok cafes; expect a queue at busy times.
