Saranrom Park
Charoen Krung Road (between Sanam Chai, Charoen Krung and Rachini roads), Phra Borom Maha Ratchawang, Phra Nakhon, Bangkok 10200
Daily 04:00-21:00

Saranrom Park is a compact, shady public park in Bangkok's old town, laid out as a garden in the late 19th century and opened to the public in 1960 under the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration. Visitors come for a cool break among trees over a hundred years old, ponds, an ornate cast-iron gate, a three-storey Chinese-style pagoda shrine and an old Victorian-style greenhouse, while locals use the walking loop, outdoor gym, badminton and table-tennis areas and evening aerobics. It fills the block between Sanam Chai, Charoen Krung and Rachini roads in Phra Nakhon, a few minutes on foot from MRT Sanam Chai and Wat Pho, which makes it an easy rest stop between old-town sights. It opens daily from 04:00 to 21:00 and entry is free. Smoking, alcohol, pets and cycling are not allowed inside.
Rating from public reviews
Each part combines public reviews from several sites (1,486 reviews). Not our own visit.
People love how shady and calm it is right in the old town, with huge old trees, historic structures and monitor lizards to spot after temple visits.
It is small and some of the old buildings and exercise equipment look neglected and rusty.
