Saxophone Pub & Restaurant
3/8 Phaya Thai Road (Soi Ratchawithi 11), Thanon Phaya Thai, Ratchathewi, Bangkok 10400
Daily 18:00-02:00

Saxophone Pub & Restaurant has been one of Bangkok's best-known live music bars since 1987, set in a two-storey wooden building a few steps from BTS Victory Monument, exit 4. Bands play jazz, blues, soul and funk every night; the first set starts around 19:30, and the upper floor looks down onto the stage, so arriving early is the way to get a seat with a view. The kitchen serves Thai dishes and pub plates such as deep-fried pork knuckle, alongside a long cocktail list and craft beer. There is no cover charge, and most guests spend roughly 250 to 500 baht each. Reviewers praise the atmosphere and the musicianship, while complaints centre on crowds, pillars that block some seats, tax on drinks and uneven service. It opens daily from 18:00 to 02:00.
Rating from public reviews
Each part combines public reviews from several sites (7,698 reviews). Not our own visit.
Visitors love the nightly live jazz and blues, the warm vintage pub room and the lively mix of locals and travellers.
It gets packed, pillars block the stage from some seats, drinks feel pricey once tax is added and service can be curt on busy nights.
