Seri Thai Park
Soi Seri Thai 57, Seri Thai Road, Khlong Kum, Bueng Kum, Bangkok 10240
Daily 05:00-21:00

Seri Thai Park is a big public park in Khlong Kum, Bueng Kum district, in north-eastern Bangkok. Once a large pond, the site was developed as a reservoir to help with flooding and became a park run by the city; in 1997 it was renamed to honour the Seri Thai (Free Thai) movement of the Second World War. Covering about 56 hectares, it is built around a wide lake with fountains and pavilions, and is ringed by a shaded jogging loop of roughly 2 km. Local families come for the playgrounds, picnic spots and outdoor fitness areas, and evenings bring runners and group exercise. The park is open every day from 05:00 to 21:00 and entry is free. It sits off Seri Thai Road, away from the rail network, so a car, taxi or bus is the usual way in.
