Somjai is a long-running one-dish eatery in Saphan Khwai that serves two Thai-Chinese staples side by side: braised pork leg on rice (khao kha moo) and Hainanese-style chicken rice. Regulars praise the soft, well-seasoned pork leg and its sour chilli dip, the fragrant chicken rice with its own ginger and bean sauce, and the crispy pork and red roast pork. The shop has moved to a lane behind Paolo Hospital on Phahon Yothin Road, about 200 metres from BTS Saphan Khwai. It opens Monday to Friday, 07:30 to 14:30, and closes at weekends. Plates cost under 100 baht, it is busy at lunchtime with diners coming and going, there is no parking of its own, and delivery is available through an app.
Rating from public reviews

Locals love the tender braised pork leg with its tangy dip and the fragrant chicken rice, both at everyday prices.
It is a cramped, busy lunchtime shop with no parking, it shuts at weekends, and a few find the plates small for the price.
