Somsak Pu Ob is a pavement seafood stall at the mouth of Charoen Rat Soi 1 in Khlong San, founded by Mr Somsak around 1990 and still cooking to order. The menu is short: crab or prawns baked with glass noodles in a claypot on a flaming stove, scented with pepper, sesame oil and pork fat; blanched cockles; baked mussels with basil; and a green-chilli seafood sauce. The stall has appeared in the Michelin Guide since 2019 and a Wongnai reviewer notes its Bib Gourmand for 2025. It is about 500 m from BTS Wongwian Yai, Exit 3, and 900 m from BTS Krung Thon Buri. Wongnai lists hours of 16:00 to 21:00 from Tuesday to Sunday, closed Monday; dishes sell out early and waits of an hour are common, so calling ahead or arriving at opening is advised. Prawn portions cost about 300 baht and crab from about 310 to 1,000 baht by size, so two people spend 400 to 600 baht each.
