Daily 05:00-19:00

Suan Luang Rama IX is the largest park in Bangkok, 80 hectares of gardens and lake in the eastern district of Prawet. It opened on 1 December 1987 and is managed by the Suan Luang Rama 9 Foundation. Visitors come for the botanical gardens, which include a geodesic dome of cacti and succulents, a glasshouse of labelled tropical plants and international gardens in national styles, as well as the Ratchamangkhala Pavilion, a gold-and-white hall with exhibits that appears to float on the lake. Swan pedal boats cost 40 baht, and a flower fair has been held every December since 1987. The park lies on Chaloem Phrakiat Ratchakan Thi 9 Road off Sukhumvit 103 (Udom Suk); MRT Suan Luang Rama IX on the Yellow Line is over 1 km away, and a taxi from BTS Udom Suk costs about 80 baht. It opens daily from 05:00 to 19:00 and admission is 10 baht.
Rating from public reviews
Each part combines public reviews from several sites (18,000 reviews). Not our own visit.
Guests like the large, well-kept gardens with a lake, boat rentals and pretty flower displays, all for a tiny entry fee.
It can get crowded during events and holidays, and parking is hard to find.
