Suanluang Square
Chulalongkorn Soi 16 (231), Wang Mai, Pathum Wan, Bangkok 10330
Daily 08:00-22:00

Suanluang Square is a two-storey shophouse complex on Chulalongkorn Soi 16, run by the property office of Chulalongkorn University on the site of the old Suan Luang neighbourhood, a Chinese trading and eating quarter. The design keeps a Chinese shophouse feel, and the block is split into a food zone, sports shops and lifestyle stores. Its eateries include old-style suki, stir-fried greens, fish noodles, roti and tea shops, Japanese food and desserts, and it sits just off Banthat Thong Road, a busy evening street food strip. It is open daily from about 08:00 to 22:00, with parking on site. Entry is free and food prices are budget level. BTS National Stadium is about a 10 minute walk away.
Rating from public reviews
Each part combines public reviews from several sites (2,059 reviews). Not our own visit.
Visitors like having many long-running local eateries and shops together in one walkable shophouse block close to Chulalongkorn University and Banthat Thong Road.
It is a neighbourhood food and shopping block rather than a sightseeing mall, with simple shophouse eateries and sports shops, and it is liveliest in the evening.
