Taling Chan Floating Market sits on Khlong Chak Phra beside the Taling Chan District Office in Thonburi, and is one of the easiest floating markets to reach from central Bangkok. It runs only on weekends and public holidays, roughly 08:00 to 16:30. The heart of it is a cluster of floating pontoons where cooks on small boats grill and steam seafood and serve it at low tables by the water, with a street market of fruit, plants, snacks and crafts at the entrance. Locals come as much as tourists, prices are low, and long-tail boat tours of the nearby canals leave from the pier. Entry is free. Take the MRT Blue Line to Bang Khun Non and the free weekend shuttle bus, or a taxi from the centre.

Each part combines public reviews from several sites (1,396 reviews). Not our own visit.
Visitors enjoy the cheap, freshly cooked food and the relaxed, local feel compared with the bigger tourist floating markets.
Many find it small with only a few working boats, and some complain about dirty, smelly canal water.
