Tep Bar is a two-storey shophouse bar on Soi Nana, the lane of small bars at the edge of Bangkok's Chinatown, running since 2015 and devoted to Thai drink and music culture. The drinks list leans on local spirits: infused ya dong herbal shots, Thai rice liquors and cocktails made with Thai rum, fruit and herbs. Thai bar snacks round it out, such as the giant rice cracker with chilli paste, sun-dried beef and pork wrapped in crispy egg noodles. Every night from about 20:00 a live band plays Thai music, from traditional ensembles to old Thai songs, and the ground floor gets loud and lively. It opens daily from 18:00 to midnight, there is a minimum spend of about 800 baht per person, and reserving ahead is wise. MRT Hua Lamphong is a 5 to 10 minute walk.
