The Old Siam Plaza
12 Tri Phet Road, Wang Burapha Phirom, Phra Nakhon, Bangkok 10200
Daily 09:00-20:00

The Old Siam Plaza is a shopping building on Tri Phet Road in the old town, a short walk from the Pak Khlong Talat flower market. Most visitors come for two things: the ground-floor food area packed with stalls selling traditional Thai sweets and snacks, and the upper floors lined with shops for Thai silk, handwoven fabrics and formal wear. Jewellery and gold shops are spread through the building, and there is a food court upstairs. It is calm and strongly air-conditioned, which makes it a handy break from the old-town heat, though anyone expecting a big modern mall may find it small and dated. MRT Sam Yot is the nearest station, a short walk away. Open daily 09:00 to 20:00; entry is free and snacks are cheap.
Rating from public reviews
Each part combines public reviews from several sites (12,623 reviews). Not our own visit.
Visitors love the spread of old-style Thai sweets downstairs and the silk and formal-wear shops upstairs, all in a calm, cool building.
Many find it small and a bit dated next to modern malls, and there is no direct rail link, so the walk in is hot.
