theCOMMONS Saladaeng
126 Soi Saladaeng 1, Silom, Bang Rak, Bangkok 10500
Daily 08:00-01:00 (vendor hours vary)

theCOMMONS Saladaeng is a three-storey community mall at 126 Soi Saladaeng 1 in Silom, the second branch of the Thonglor original, opened in 2020. Designed by Department of Architecture, it has pointed red roofs and wraps around a large banyan tree, with open-sided floors, pocket gardens and shared seating. The ground floor has cafes and casual eateries, the second floor is a market of food and drink vendors where you order from stalls and sit anywhere, and the top floor hosts live music, events and workshops. It is pet-friendly and popular with nearby office workers after 6pm, so Friday and weekend evenings get crowded. It opens daily 08:00-01:00, though each vendor keeps its own hours. BTS Sala Daeng is a short walk away.
Rating from public reviews
Each part combines public reviews from several sites (1,399 reviews). Not our own visit.
Visitors love the leafy, open-air design and the easy mix of food stalls, coffee and drinks in a calmer setting than Thonglor.
Drinks are on the pricey side, and on busy evenings it is hard to find a free seat.
