Wat Wachiratham Sathit, still called Wat Thung or Wat Thung Sathit by locals, is a large community temple on Soi Sukhumvit 101/1 in Bang Chak, Phra Khanong. Local accounts date it to around 1856; it later fell empty and was rebuilt from 1963. Its landmark is a golden Lanna-style chedi modelled on the great stupa of Lamphun, and the grounds also hold an ordination hall with murals, shaded seating, fish ponds and pens of cattle that visitors feed or sponsor as merit-making. A small fresh market runs nearby in the morning. Take the BTS to Punnawithi or Bang Chak, then a motorbike taxi or taxi into Soi 101/1, about 2 km. The temple is open daily from about 06:00 to 18:00, entry is free, and there is plenty of parking.
Rating from public reviews

Visitors find it calm and green, and enjoy the golden Lanna-style chedi, the murals in the main hall and feeding the cattle kept on the grounds.
It is a busy local temple a couple of kilometres off the BTS, and some buildings, like the ordination hall, are not always open.
